Welcome to the Nebraska Peer Specialist Association website. The peer specialist movement was born out of a more subtanial use of the recovery model and the proven effectiveness of recovery for those who suffer from mental illness and subtance abuse. After reviewing the results of recovery, as with the META PS project, many clinical providers and institutions visioned the need for peer specialist in the their enviroment in order to provide the greatest possible care to the patient.

Our site provides several purposes. It allows NPSA members to view useful information and additional materials, non-members and visitors to view open articles on all aspects of mental health pertaining to peer specialist, and a outlet for our thoughts...
